MaxRef Widgets v1.9.1 Release Notes
- Pages widget bug fix
The pages widgets didn’t work in v1.9. The widget generated a MySQL error and prevented the widget from showing up. This has been fixed and all pages widgets (even child pages) will show up as expected.
- Cosmetic changes
The border has been removed around the RSS icon in widgets for category links and the ad link in the ad link version of the plugin has been moved down a bit while it has been centered in the widget.

- Request to Donate
The plugin will show a small link below each widget in your sidebars. A link-free version of the plugin can be obtained from Scott Frangos (WebFadds) by making a donation for the use of the plugin.
- Rotate Posts by Category
When you choose “Posts :: All Categories” for the “Display” of a widget, you have the ability to specify that posts should be rotated by category. In other words, the posts of a different category will be shown on each page refresh. The categories are rotated in an ascending manner by title/name.

- Hide empty categories
Functionality to show/hide empty categories when using categories as the “Display” for a widget.
- Date Formats for Items
Each widget individually allows you to specify the date format to use when you choose to show the last updated dates of items for links, posts, categories, etc. A select drop down will appear showing examples of the available date formats.
- Link Dates Bug Fix
When an item date is empty or equal to “0000-00-00 00:00:00″ which means that it cannot be converted to a Unix timestamp, the current date and time will be used automatically for presentational purposes.
- WordPress 2.7 Compatibility
The plugin is now fully compatible with WordPress 2.7
