Banners: Auto Refresh

To turn On/Off the periodic ajax refresh feature for banners and configure it, go to the ‘Configuration’ section of the plugin and navigate to the ‘Periodic Ajax Refresh’ box where you will see the appropriate settings.

Sidebar Widgets

The banner rotator plugin comes packed with very powerful and yet unlimited sidebar widgets. Go to the “Design” > “Widgets” section in your WordPress dashboard where you’ll notice a widget named “Banners”. You can add multiple widgets to your sidebar(s) and click the “Edit” link to the right of the added widget to configure its settings.

With the WordPress Banners plugin, you can quickly and easily display banner ads on your WordPress website in several different ways with the level of flexibility you need in order to optimize your publishing results.

System Recommendations

  • WordPress 2.7.x or 2.8.x
  • PHP 4.2 or higher
    • short_open_tag On
    • safe_mode Off
  • MySQL 5 or higher

Installation

Installation

  1. Ensure that you have WordPress 2.7.x or 2.8.x installed
  2. Download the WordPress Banners plugin from the downloads management section in a ZIP archive (you may need to login to your Tribulant Software account in order to access your download).
  3. Extract the ZIP archive named wp-banners.zipin order to be presented with a single folder named wp-banners.
  4. Upload the wp-banners folder to the wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation. If you are upgrading, overwrite all existing plugin files from an older version.
  5. Access the “Plugins” panel in your WordPress Dashboard once logged in as administrator.
  6. Activate the Banners  plugin if it isn’t already active.
  7. Access the “Banners” administration menu item and the submenus to manage the plugin. This can be found on the left hand side of your WordPress Dashboard.
