Piping Step 2: Upload CGI & CHMOD« Email Piping (Alias to CGI)
In the previous step, you configured the “wpmlbounce.cgi” file and changed the value of the “wordpress_url” variable to your blog address url (home page of your wordpress blog).
In this step, you will need to upload this “wpmlbounce.cgi” file which you just edited to your CGI-bin directory for the specified domain. With the file uploaded, CHMOD (change the mode/permissions of the file) the file to 0755 in order to make it executable. You can CHMOD the file using your FTP application.
With the file uploaded to your CGI-bin directory and the appropriate permissions set for the file, continue to the next step where you will create an email alias and tell your server to pipe incoming emails to the alias to an application/script.
