Import CSV Spreadsheet
You can quickly and easily import a CSV spreadsheet from any source at all into the Wordpress mailing list plugin as subscribers to a specified mailing list and start sending these subscribers newsletters.
Go to the “Mailing List” > “Import/Export” section of the Wordpress mailing list plugin. Browse to your CSV spreadsheet which you would like to import into the mailing list database. Select the mailing list to which the imported subscribers should be assigned to. Then check the “CSV Spreadsheet” radio button which will display some new options.
Once you’ve clicked the “CSV Spreadsheet” radio button, you’ll see a checkbox with a “Email Address” label display. In case you have created any custom fields in the “Fields” section of the plugin, they will be displayed here as well. You’ll notice that I have two custom fields “Age” and “About You” in the screenshot above.
For each field which you want to import from the CSV spreadsheet, check the checkbox and fill in the column number of the values for that field. The first column in the spreadsheet is “1″, the second column is “2″, and so on. So if you only have one column in your spreadsheet with email addresses, you’ll check the “Email Address” checkbox and fill in “1″ into the “Column #” field. Please open your CSV document in Numbers or Excel to ensure that the column numbers are correct.
With all the appropriate fields checked and their correct column numbers filled in, you may click the “Import” button in order to import the subscribers into the mailing list database.
