Paid Subscriptions

The paid subscriptions feature of the Wordpress mailing list plugin allows you to accept specified payments for subscribers in specified intervals for specific mailing lists. The plugin currently supports PayPal and 2Checkout through which you can accept credit card, debit card, echeck, paypal, etc… payments.

When you create a mailing list in the administration section, you have the ability of choosing whether or not the list is a paid list. When you set the list as a paid list, you have to specify a price and an interval (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) on which the subscribers will be charged the specified price.

The entire paid subscriptions procedure is automatic. When a user subscribes to a paid list, a confirmation/activation email is sent out as usual. When the confirmation link inside of this email is clicked by the subscriber for the first time, the user will be taken to the payment gateway in order to pay for the subscription in order to have it activated and start receiving newsletter on that specific mailing list.

When the subscription interval (configured for that mailing list) has passed for that subscriber, the subscriber will receive an email notification, notifying the subscriber of the expiration, together with a renewal link allowing the subscriber to pay again in order to renew the subscription to that mailing list.
